High-Protein Chocolate Mousse — the most effortless, guilt-free way to tackle those post-dinner sugar cravings! Made with silken tofu and a few staple pantry ingredients, this vegan mousse is good for the body and the soul!

Vegan High Protein Chocolate Mousse

In a blender, combine silken tofu, melted dark chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar or maple syrup, a bit of instant coffee for depth, a splash of vanilla extract, and some salt.

Blend this until silky smooth and at the end, I like to fold in some orange zest for brightness. Serve these in orange shells for a fun look or even just a serving bowl and top them up with some chocolate shavings, cacao nibs, and your favorite fruits.

Ingredients
Mousse:
  • 1 block silken tofu , approx 13 oz / 350 grams
  • 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate , melted on a double boiler or microwave
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup , or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp instant coffee powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp orange zest
Toppings:
  • fresh fruits
  • chocolate shavings
  • cacao nibs
  • golden sprinkles
Instructions
  1. Add all the mousse ingredients (except orange zest) to a blender and blend until smooth and silky.

  2. Mix orange zest in it.

  3. Transfer the mixture to halved orange peel cups or serving bowls, and garnish with fresh fruits of your choice, chocolate shavings, cacao nibs and golden sprinkles. Chill in the fridge before serving and enjoy!
