Ingredients
  • 2 cups peas , fresh or frozen
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 cup fresh tomato puree
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic green chili paste
  • 1 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp paneer , grated or chena (cottage cheese)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt , to taste
  • 2 tbsp cilantro , finely chopped
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Add in your cumin seeds and let crackle for a few seconds. Then, add in your garlic-ginger-chili paste, tomato purée, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder. Sauté for 2 minutes until the oil starts to release.
  2. Add in your milk and mix gently. Once the milk comes to a boil, add in your peas and paneer. If you are using fresh peas, add in 2 tbsp of water and cook covered for 2 minutes.
  3. Mix gently and add in lemon juice, garam masala, and salt. Let sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Fold in cilantro and enjoy!
