WATCH HOW TO MAKE MANGO CHANA CHAAT:
We’ll blend some of the mango pulp with some yogurt for a silky addition to our chaat. Then, mix together chana, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, our fresh mangoes, green chilies, spices, and some imli chutney. I wanted some crunchy texture so I went in with boondi and peanuts and finished it off with some cilantro and mint.

Now my favorite thing about this chaat is how I’m serving it in the mango shells for a fun look! Pipe some of our luscious mango yogurt on the bottom and top it up with our crunchy, chatpata chaat. Finish with some more mango yogurt and this is ready to dig in! Trust me when I say this is the ultimate summer dish to enjoy these beautiful, in-season Indian mangoes!

- 4 mangoes
- 1/4 cup thick yogurt or hung curd
- 1 cup kala chana (brown chickpeas) , boiled
- 1/2 cup potatoes , cubed and boiled
- 1/4 cup tomatoes , diced
- 1/2 cup onions , diced
- 2 tsp green chilies , minced
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1/4 tsp black salt
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp tamarind chutney
- 1/4 cup masala boondi (chickpea flour droplets)
- 2 tbsp peanuts
- 2 tbsp cilantro , finely chopped
- 8-10 leaves mint leaves , finely chopped
- pomegranate seeds
- Indian papdi crackers
- sev (bhujiya)

Mango Yogurt: Take the mangos and cut them in half. Scoop out the flesh, leaving the shells for serving. Blend half of the mango with the yogurt.

Chaat: Dice the other half of mangoes and combine it with the rest of the ingredients. Mix everything until it is well combined.

Assembly: To serve, pipe the mango-yogurt mixture into mango shells. Add the chaat on top of that and garnish with pomegranate seeds, papdi and bhujiya. Your Mango Chana Chaat is ready, enjoy!
