Ingredients

  • 1 pack mini idlis , prepared as per packet instructions or use homemade mini idlis
  • 2 tsp oil , or ghee
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp split white urad dal (split matpe beans)
  • 2 dried red chilies , broken
  • 2 tbsp peanuts
  • 1/4 cup raw green mango , julienned
  • 1/4 cup pineapple , chopped
  • 2 tbsp mixed color bell peppers , chopped
  • 1 tsp podi powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mini idlis according to the packet instructions or use homemade mini idlis.
  2. Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add the urad dal, dried red chilies, and peanuts. Sauté until lightly golden.
  4. Add the green mango, pineapple, and bell peppers. Sauté on high heat for 4–5 minutes.
  5. Add the prepared mini idlis and gently toss.
  6. Sprinkle the podi masala over the idlis and mix well.
  7. Serve immediately.
