Ingredients

  • 1 cups phool makhana (puffed lotus seeds)
  • 1 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup powdered mishri , or sugar or jaggery, adjust to taste
  • 7-8 strands saffron , soaked in 2 tsp water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp almonds , crushed
  • 1 tbsp pistachio , crushed
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • 2 cups mixed fruits , I used strawberries, apples, bananas, and grapes

Instructions

  1. Sauté the makhana on medium-low flame in a pan for 5-7 mins until they are crispy. Then, let it cool.

  2. To make your shrikhand, add your makhana to a blender and grind it to a powder. Then mix in your yogurt, powdered mishri, cardamom powder, saffron, nuts, and rose water, .

  3. To assemble, in a cup, add a layer of shrikhand, followed by a layer of mixed fruits. You can use any fruits of your choice. On top of the fruits, add a layer of your shrikhand, and garnish it with your choice of fruits and nuts.

  4. Before serving, chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Your Makhana Fruit Shrikhand is ready, enjoy!
