Transfer the lukewarm milk into your earthenware pot and whisk in the yogurt starter. Make sure there's no lumps. Cover the pot with a lid or some aluminum foil.
Place a metal trivet in your Instant Pot and add 1 cup of water to it. Put the earthen pot on the trivet. Put the lid on and cook on Yogurt mode for 4½ hourse. Make sure your vent is on the sealing position.
